Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-03-11T01:25Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-03-11T01:25:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Note Keyword:
DPL: CME exhibits dimpled front
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
HAL: Halo CME
Source Signature Keyword:
Morphology Keyword:
L: Loop
Note: A faint southwestern partial halo CME, best seen in STEREO A COR2 in white light imagery and in difference imagery. No source was found on the Earth-facing disk, so the CME is likely backsided.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

This is a very approximate analysis based on the best fit in swpc_cat with two coronagraphs (SOHO LASCO and STEREO A COR2). No coronal signatures for this likely backsided CME have been found in EUV imagery. The longitude of this CME could be as low as 140 degrees and the width of this partial halo CME also could be different from 45 degrees. |
